UFAS LLC — Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 16, 2026
1. Introduction
UFAS LLC ("UFAS," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our websites, physical NFC-enabled cards, and subscription analytics dashboard (collectively, the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account Information: name, business name, email address, and password when a business creates a UFAS account.
- Payment Information: billing details processed through our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers.
- Tap and Engagement Data: when a customer taps or scans an NFC card or QR code, we may collect the timestamp, approximate location, device/browser type, and the destination link accessed, in order to generate analytics such as tap counts and review trends for the associated business.
- Order and Shipping Information: name, shipping address, and order details when you purchase a physical product through our website or a third-party marketplace.
- Website Usage Data: standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including processing NFC tap redirects;
- Generate the analytics dashboard (tap counts, engagement trends) for subscribing businesses;
- Process orders, subscriptions, and payments;
- Communicate with you about your account, orders, or support requests;
- Improve and secure our Services and prevent fraud or misuse;
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Services, such as payment processors, hosting providers, and analytics tools, under obligations to protect that information;
- Marketplaces such as Amazon or Etsy, to the extent necessary to fulfill orders placed through those platforms;
- Business account holders, who receive aggregated tap and engagement analytics tied to their own cards (this does not include individually identifying information about the end customer beyond what is inherent in device/browser or approximate location data);
- Law enforcement or regulators, where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public;
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website and hosted card destinations (such as menu or link-hub pages) may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and generate the tap analytics described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may limit some functionality.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and tap-analytics data for as long as an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You may request deletion of your account data as described in Section 8.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, contact us at info@theufasproject.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Services are intended for business use and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Third-Party Links and Destinations
Our cards and Services link or redirect to third-party destinations, such as Google, Yelp, booking platforms, or social media profiles, that have their own privacy practices. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party destinations, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated to business account holders where required by law.
